Symposium: Painting in the 21st Century

Saturday, September 27, 2008 10 am - 5 pm

Although widely proclaimed dead in the 1980s, painting has returned to prominence in recent years. This symposium will examine the state of contemporary painting from a range of perspectives, embracing the artist's point of view and those of the art historian and critic.

  1. Anne. Did you go to this? I wish I would have known about your work then, I would have liked to have met you. I went and traveled down to DC from Columbus for the weekend to come to this. And to see my friend Joseph Marioni. The section on Color was amazing, way better than any of the others. I need to get in touch with them and see if they can make me a DVD of that symposium.
