Artbeat
July 20-August 18, 2011
Salar presents its first
Bethesda exhibition, a unique and
exciting art show that brings
together an international line-up of
five progressive artists, who all
individually reflect the contemporary
art scene of today. Their practices
rely on exploratory techniques with
material, form and sound in various
mediums ranging from photography
to video art. ARTbeat brings together
a select group of artists who share
an impulse to re-imagine and rescript
our relationships to everyday
objects and characters.
Curated by Mariano Ugalde, this
exhibition promises an intriguing
sample of the art being produced in
three different regions of the globe
and will expose the viewer to artwork
that is exhibited in major art fairs
around the world.
Participating artists: Felix Angel
(Medellín), Gastón Ugalde (La Paz),
Scarlett Hooft (Amsterdam), Sonia
Falcone (Santa Cruz) and John
Fitzgerald (New York).
