On View: Abstract Expressionism Revisited

With the first exhibits of 2014, The Art League previews an event-packed year in The Art League Gallery. This month is your chance to see what’s to come in their 60th anniversary year!
With “Abstract Expressionism Revisited,” artists are kicking off a year-long series of themed exhibits, inspired by the six decades of art history The Art League Gallery has seen. Each month’s exhibit will explore a different movement, with a contemporary take, with October’s exhibit bringing us up to the present day.
The Art League is located in the landmark Torpedo Factory Art Center, 105 North Union Street, on the beautiful Potomac River in historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The gallery is located on the first floor of the TFAC, studio 21. The Art League Gallery is open daily from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm on Sundays. The Gallery stays open late on Thursdays, 10:00 am – 9:00 pm. 703-683-1780
