Distinguished University Professors Ira Berlin and David C. Driskell will engage in a historic discussion
about major U.S. and international events that have had a defining impact on our way of life and destiny,
as a culture and as a country. Each will offer personal reflections on historic events related to politics, race
relations, cultural movements and civil liberties that have transformed social and human progress over the
past five decades. The discussion is sure to cover major events such as the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights
Act and more.
