Guided Walk and Poetry Reading
Open Neighborhood Exhibition
Saturday, February 2, 2:00 – 4:00pm
Following a brief introduction at the Goethe-Institut, a guide will point out sites of Chinese-American and German-American history on the walk; at stopping points along the way, there will be readings of poems, songs, and rhymes in their native language and English translations.
Reception at the Chinatown Community Cultural Center follows the guided walk and features German and Chinese snacks.
The exhibit features new installations of poems through July 2008
Participating organizations include Adams Bank, Starbucks, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, and others
