Upakar is a registered 501(C)3 and was founded in 1997 to assist Indian Americans who require financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate degree at a U.S. based college or university. It is further dedicated to the promotion and recognition of excellence through the support of the Indian community. Upakar will proudly award 20 scholarships this year and hopes to grow that number with community support.
