May 2 - May 27, 20112
Opening Reception -Friday, May 4, 6 - 8 pm
Peter's work is conceptual assemblage - found boxes or small painter's canvasses with tableaus of found objects and small plastic figures. Peter's pieces often feature found photographs, film negatives and lights. Peter explains, "To keep ourselves sane we insist that what we do has purpose and will last and ultimately that the world makes sense. In my art I try to point to the tenuousness of that found order, and draw attention to the randomness and transient nature of our world."
