MPA's highly anticipated biennial juried exhibition Strictly Painting 9 is accepting entries. Submission deadline is April 19, 4 pm. Exhibition date is June 13 through August 3. This year's juror is Margaret Heiner, owner and founder of Heiner Contemporary, an art gallery in Georgetown specializing in work by emerging and mid-career contemporary artists.
All Mid-Atlantic artists (DC, VA, MD, PA, NJ, DE, WV) are invited to submit up to 4 jpegs of paintings or works related in some way to painting completed in the last two years and not previously exhibited at MPA. Work that combines painting with other materials is acceptable and encouraged as well. Cash prizes totaling $1,500 will be awarded by the juror. Decisions are final.
