"Ellipsis" Solo Exhibition by Anne Marchand - Opening Day and Reception Night

View from the "back door" of the gallery.

Visitors to the gallery.

This day went fast with most of the day spent in the Joe Wilcox Fine Arts gallery. Sedona, AZ USA is a tourist Mecca with thousands of visitors passing through each season. I met folks from the East Coast, West Coast and in between as well as from Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and China. There's a mix of interests here from art patronage to touring the landscape. Sedona boasts herself a gateway to the landscape. The Grand Canyon is 2 hours drive from here. I am loving the clean air and the crisp light. The Joe Wilcox Fine Arts Gallery owner and staff are very professional and hospitable. I feel very much at home in this new environment. The art reception is tonight for my "Ellipsis" Painting Exhibition. The Red Rock News has written an article in it's Artscene Fall Publication. It's a two-page article by Bekki VanBenthuysen with two large pictures of my paintings. A color picture of the painting, "Raga: Reveal" graces page 3. The article, "The Legacy of Joe Wilcox Lives" talks about the adventurer, explorer, Joe Wilcox who settled in Sedona more than 30 years ago. His daughter Denise Henry follows in his footsteps with a contemporary art gallery, Joe Wilcox Fine Arts on the Main Street, Hwy 89A in Sedona, AZ. To see pictures from the opening night Click here.
