Adamson Gallery presents a retrospective exhibition of photographs by Renate Aller, entitled One View - Ten Years. For the past decade, Aller has been photographing the Atlantic Ocean from a single location on the southern shore of Long Island. Photographing the ocean at all hours and during all seasons, the artist has produced a body of work that is breathtaking in its beauty, a testimony to the astonishing and always unpredictable pulchritude of the natural landscape. Aller's metallic C-print photographs are monumental in size, communicating to the viewer the feeling of being engulfed by the ocean.


Renate Aller was born in Germany and lives and works in New York and Long Island. Her work has been exhibited at museums and galleries in New York, London, Italy and Hong Kong.
