Project 4 and The Pink Line Project present PRESS PLAY, a multi-media art party showcasing video and performance artists working in New York, Washington, and Baltimore. The event will feature 20 dynamic works by 11 visionary artists.
Featuring the work of:
Reed Anderson & Daniel Davidson, Charlotte Andrew, Anthony Goicolea, Guy Hundere, Nelson Loskamp, Brad McCallum & Jacqueline Tarry, Mac Premo, Adam Stennett, Dirk Westphal
New Technologies have altered contemporary culture and the role of the arts in society. Through the use of video, animation, sound, and other computer based programs, these artists use new media to pursue artistic research and production in the context of cultural and artistic issues.
Project 4 is a new voice in the growing Washington D.C. art scene. The gallery's programming promotes an international, forward-thinking exhibition schedule of contemporary art and design. Focusing on one-person shows and thematic exhibitions by mid-career and emerging artists, the gallery also invites guest curators to host exhibitions emphasizing trends in contemporary art and design. It is, in effect, a room for art and ideas spanning a range of cultural issues.
The Pink Line Project supports outstanding artists who contribute to excellence and innovation in the arts in Washington, DC by creating opportunities for intellectual and artistic interaction and by providing inventive approaches to assisting artists make art.
