Metro will feature works by two local artists

Sam Gilliam, who is best known around the world for his color field and sculpture is creating a large abstract mosaic tile mural to go up in the underpass of the Takoma station entrance.Michael Sirvet will create low-relief, botanically inspired aluminum and light sculptures for the Farragut West station entrance at 17th and I streets.
