Garnet Lounge, 6th Floor
7:00pm-8:00pm
African symbols known as Adinkra are ubiquitous in Ghana, a West African country situated between Cote d'Ivoire and Togo. The symbols have a particular history in clothing and traditional dress. As part of the Art-O-Matic Exhibition Symbols & Significance (Red 6D14), Gemini Visions Art Studio presents a talk about the history and use of Adrinka Symbols by Clarissa Abban of Inspiration Africa. The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Garnet Lounge on Thursday, May 10, 2007. Art featuring Adinkra symbols and light refreshments will be provided.
