Arlingtonarts.org has launched its brand new artist directory, that is open to artists in all disciplines for a modest annual fee. Artists must live, work or maintain a studio in Arlington, VA. The directory is designed to provide exposure through the Arlington arts website, and will help direct traffic to the artist's own site or Facebook page. More

There will be runway shows, trunk shows, sample sales, make-up, massage, and more. You'll also enjoy live performances from Bowen McCauley Dance. In the next week, Crystal City will become the area’s go-to location for fashion and fun. In addition to runway and trunk shows, Crystal Couture, sponsored by the Crystal City Business Improvement District, offers a chance to support local charities, relax with free massages and win prizes.
“Crystal Couture brings amazing area designers, boutiques and charities together in one, two-week event,” said Angela Fox, President/CEO of Crystal City BID. “Whether you’re a fashionista, fitness fiend, or open mic poet, we’ve got something for everyone. Drop by and enjoy free fitness classes, massages, makeovers, and tattoos as well as great daily contests with prizes.”
Every day boasts a different theme at Crystal Couture, carried out through design, activities, drinks, and food. Attendees are encouraged to dress the part and compete for prizes, including gift certificates to local boutiques, restaurants and more.

Blue skies, warm weather, 320 bright feather banners, 50 colorful airplanes, 4 energetic bands, and thousands of supportive faces shaking red cowbells greeted the 30,000 runners who entered Crystal City for miles 22 and 23 of the 33rd Annual Marine Corps Marathon. To celebrate the Marathon and its participants, the Crystal City BID organized an all day street festival featuring live music, performances by Step Afrika!, moon bounces, an art market, a children’s area organized by the National Children’s Museum, restaurant tastes, and other activities.Read More Here.
