WASHINGTON -- They came, they auditioned and now Metro is ready to roll out its first ever group of Metro Performers.
The first group will appear between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Dupont Circle Station. It is a duet that will be hand dancing.WTOP here.

Metro Performs - Auditions
Singers, Dancers and Musicians wanted for Live Music and Dance Performances OUTSIDE of Metro train stations this summer and fall. Sponsored by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
Audition Dates:
Thursday, May 10th
5pm-8pm
Saturday, May 12th,
9am-6pm

Bio or Resume (one page only) and photograph (b/w or color, 5 X 7 or 8 1/2 X 11)
Individual applicants must be residents of the District of Columbia. Organizational applicants must have their 501c(3) status or business in the District of Columbia.
Audition slots are first-come, first served as available. Applicants will be required to complete paperwork requesting the following information: Legal name, address, daytime telephone number, e-mail address, social security Number. Criminal background checks may be performed by Metro Transit police for applicants chosen for the program.
MetroPerforms is a pilot program of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities in collaboration with the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority's Art in Transit Program to bring quality live music and dance to Metro train commuters and pedestrians.
