"The New Art Examiner is a Chicago-based bi-monthly national art magazine founded in October 1973 by Derek Guthrie and Jane Addams Allen. Publication ceased in 2002. The magazine was relaunched in Sept 2015 by the original publisher and Co-Founder Derek Guthrie. Since re-launch there have been 8 new issues in 2015 and 2016 and is working on 2017. The publication is currently in an aggressive expansion mode and looking for writers, editors, donors and well wishers. A new mass market tabloid sister publication: New Art Examiner: "The Howler" is currently being created by a group of Chicago based associates and is scheduled to launch their 1st edition Spring 2017." - Wikipedia

Come hear from a distinguished panel of gallery owners, directors, collectors and artists on how to price art. The panel includes:
Arthur Mason, lawyer and art collector with his wife Jane Mason
Lee Eagle, Eagle Associates, Collector and Specialist in the DC secondary art market
Margery Goldberg, Zenith Gallery owner
Amy Cavanaugh and Briony Evans, Gallery Directors, Honfluer Gallery

They will each offer their own unique perspective on the mystery of pricing art.

Duncan Phillips Lecture: Kerry James Marshall

Kerry James Marshall is known internationally as a painter, photographer, printmaker, and installation artist. The recipient of a MacArthur "genius" award (1997), Marshall speaks about his own work - powerful figure paintings that interpret contemporary African American experience. Marshall's work has been exhibited widely, including at the Venice Biennale (2003) and Documenta (1997 and 2007).

The lecture takes place in the Sant Auditorium and is free for members.

The Duncan Phillips Lectures feature distinguished artists, historians, and critics, whose presentations cover a broad range of aesthetic concerns. Started in 1987, the series honors Duncan Phillips, founder of The Phillips Collection.
