Artistically Speaking with Marilou Donahue

The June arts web site of Artistically Speaking with Marilou Donahue is online. Marilou asks a few of her colleagues to tell how they got into the arts scene in D.C. including Writer Robin Tierney. She interviews Music Director Leonard Slatkin of the National Symphony Orchestra, who is leaving his post after twelve years. Read it HERE

    Hi Ann Marchand,

In September, I am having a collage show -- at Friendship Heights Village Center.

with Amy Kincaid and Patricia Zannie.

I also paint in oils, acrylics and water colors, paint abstracts, portraits and figures and make monoprints, constructions from found objects and wearable art.

    I am originally from Burma.

This is my seventh show in the DC area. I have also had art exhibitions in Ubud, Bali, Chiangmai, Thailand and Helsinki, Finland.

I do hope you can come to the Opening Reception, Sept. 14th, 11.30 AM to 1.30 PM, Friendship Heights Village Center.

We will hang the show on Sept 2 at 11 AM.

    Kyi May Kaung
