Mama Earth is a visual celebration of the beauty of the planet Earth. The show encompasses feng shui (literally meaning wind and water) - the Chinese art of placement to bring balance and harmony to a physical space (e.g. bedroom). Feng Shui is based on having good energy - called chi, and its positive flow.
Throughout the exhibition, viewers will be able to enjoy the pieces from not only an aesthetic perspective, but also of chi and Feng Shui.

  1. Thanks for posting about this Anne! I created my piece Divine Vision, specifically for this show!

  2. Nice image Russ. Is the medium digital, painting or a combination?

  3. Thanks Anne! It's a digital composition. I use anywhere from six to two dozen images to create one piece. Then I go back and "tweak" things like the shadows and highlights to create "hidden images" and do a little digital painting to make it all cohesive. If you look hard enough you'll find four sets of animals within the picture. ;)

  4. Great Russ. Much success and congratulations! I see you post many calls to artists and I'd like toadd your blog to my blogroll.

  5. Send press releases to Painterly Visions Blog at painterlyvisions[at]

  6. I would be honored if you add my blog! Thanks again Anne.
