Bethesda Painting Awards

The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District is currently accepting applications for the seventh annual Bethesda Painting Awards, a juried competition honoring selected painters from D.C., MD and VA with $14,000 in prize monies. 

Deadline for slide submission is Friday, February 25, 2011.  Up to nine finalists will be invited to display their work in a group exhibition held in June 2011 in downtown Bethesda.

The competition will be juried by Evelyn Hankins, Associate Curator at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C; Phillip Geiger, Professor of Drawing and Painting, University of Virgina; and Jinchul Kim, Art Professor, Salisbury University.
