ART IN THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY | CHANGE

International Arts and Artists' HILLYER ART SPACE HOSTS AN EXCLUSIVE EVENT FEATURING AN ADVANCE SCREENING OF THE FIRST EPISODE FROM SEASON SIX OF THE PEABODY AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY FROM PBS

HILLYER ART SPACE, a non-profit contemporary art gallery and branch of International Arts and Artists, in partnership with Art21 as part of its Access '12 initiative, presents a sneak preview in advance of the premiere of the sixth season of Art in the Twenty-First Century, the only prime time national television series focused exclusively on contemporary art, on April 12th at 9 Hillyer Court NW, Washington, DC 20008. The event features a panel-lead discussion to follow the screening, and refreshments for audience members. This event is free and open to the public, however donations are always accepted.

They will be capping each screening at 45 guests, so be sure to reserve your seats in advance by emailing julieh[at]artsandartists.org.

Episode 1: CHANGE


The premiere episode, "Change," airing April 13, features Ai Weiwei, El Anatsui and Catherine Opie. The artists in this hour bear witness, in their work, to transformation-cultural, material, and aesthetic-and actively engage communities as collaborators and subjects.
