ARTISTS INVITED TO APPLY TO 10TH ANNUAL TRAWICK PRIZE

 $14,000 in prize money will be awarded to four winners.

(Bethesda, MD) – The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District invites local artists to submit work to the 10th annual Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards. This juried art competition awards $14,000 in prizes to four selected winners. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 6, 2012. Up to 10 finalists will be chosen to display their work at Bethesda’s Gallery B in September.

The competition will be juried by Dawn Gavin, Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, College of Arts and Humanities, University of Maryland; Barbara Kelly Gordon, Associate Curator at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and N. Elizabeth Schlatter, Director and Curator of Exhibitions at the University of Richmond Museums, Virginia.
