Shots from 3dg

The 3dg Open House was a hugh success despite the pouring rainshowers. The condominiums are beautifully crafted with wood floors and cork floors, bamboo cabinetry, ice stone kitchen counter tops, a rainwater collection barrell and other eco-friendly details. I'm glad to be involved in this pioneering LEED-certified project by 3dg. Art patron, Molly Rupert dropped by with her beautiful daughters and grandchildren. We're all waiting to see how the Warehouse Theatre and Gallery complex evolves in the coming year and wish them great success. Thanks to everyone who came out to see the project and the art. Here's some of my paintings in the "Green House."

Green Open House

"Green" Open House and Fair
Sunday, June 3, 1:00-5:00pm
1362 Otis Place, NW
Washington, DC 20010

On Sunday, 3DG unveiled its latest project – Washington, DC's first boutique residential condominium that will be LEED-certified. At the tipping point in “green” awareness, this project represents how sustainable design and construction practices are being used in today’s market.

3DG, a company born and raised in the rapidly transforming Columbia Heights neighborhood, has taken a typical Washington, DC Wardman rowhome and retrofitted it with the latest environmentally sustainable technology and construction methods. This project marks what many hope to be a shift to a “triple bottom line” approach to development as it is socially, environmentally and economically favorable.

The open house will provide visitors with an in-depth and interactive learning experience about the “green” features that will make this a LEED-certified building. In addition, they will see “green” living from a more holistic approach as they are invited to tour a model unit outfitted completely with sustainable furniture and complemented with environmentally-friendly household products and foods.

A special thanks goes to Crate & Barrel and My Organic Market for their contributions of environmentally friendly products.

3DG would also like the thank local artists Anne Marchand and Charlie Jones for displaying their work.
