Dulce Pinzon / "The Story of the Real Superheroes"


Opening Friday, November 6th, 6-8PM

In conjunction with Fotoweek, Smith Farm Center for Healing and the Arts will be featuring the Mexican Photographer, Dulce Pinzon's series, "The Story of the Real Superheroes" (, which satirically documents Latino immigrants in New York City, working in their mundane environments donning superhero costumes. In doing so, Pinzon raises questions of both Americans' definition of heroism and ignorance of and indifference to the workforce that fuels the ever-consuming US economy.  The opening is on Friday, November 6th, 6-8PM and will be co-sponsored by the Mexican Cultural Institute.
